Park Ji-young, Bang Sin-sil, Kim Hee-ji joint lead in the second round of the E1 Charity Open

Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour prize money, Park Ji-young (Korea Real Estate Trust) at the forefront of the grand prize points, hot newcomer Bang Shin-sil (KB Financial Group), and Kim Hee-ji (Pepper Savings Bank) are the 11th Contend for the championship at the E1 Charity Open (total prize money of 900 million won).

In the second round of the tournament held at Seongmunan Country Club (par 72, 6602 yards) in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do on the 27th, the three recorded an interim total of 7 under par 137 strokes side by side, and were named joint leaders.

Park Ji-young, who is aiming for her first win in five months since the Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open in December last year, reduced four strokes to seven birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey.

Bang Sin-sil, who recently emerged as a rising star, reduced three strokes with five birdies and two bogeys.

Kim Hee-ji jumped into the joint lead group with her most stable performance in the second round, hitting only 6 birdies without bogey. Kim Hee-ji also has yet to win a regular tour.

Kim Min-seon (Daebang Engineering & Construction) is aiming for a come-from-behind victory by placing in 4th place, one stroke behind the joint leaders with a 6-under par.
