The Democratic Party’s former Yangpyeong county governor and his family own land near the end of the Yangpyeong Expressway.

In relation to the Seoul-Yangpyeong Expressway project, which is controversial about the cancellation of the project because there is a land near the end of the changed route, there is a land belonging to the family of Mrs. Kim Kun-hee, wife of President Yoon Seok-yeol. It has been confirmed that there is

As a result of checking the Supreme Court register on the 9th, it was found that the former county governor and his relatives own 14 parcels of land of about 10,000 square meters (about 3,000 pyeong) in Asin-ri, Okcheon-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun.

Asin-ri, Okcheon-myeon is close to Jeungdong-ri, Yangseo-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, which was the end point of the original route when the Seoul-Yangpyeong Expressway project passed the preliminary feasibility study in April 2021.

It is known that many of these lands are about 1.6km away from the end of the original plan.

It is said that some of the lands that Jeong purchased in 1998 and 2004 were included along with the lands jointly owned by the former county governor and his family as a gift or inheritance from ancestors.

Regarding this, some people are sending another suspicion of preferential treatment to the former military governor’s family안전놀이터.

The Democratic Party is raising suspicions that the route was changed to give preference to the land of the Kim family near Byeongsan-ri, Gangsang-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, which is the end point of the changed route.

When the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, who resisted this, made a decision to ‘completely cancel’ the project, the original plan promotion committee was formed to urge the cancellation of the plan and to strengthen the project so that it can be promoted as the original plan (the end point of Yangseo-myeon).

Regarding this, Jeong said, “Asin-ri, Okcheon-myeon is my father’s hometown, my cousin lives there, I live, and many families live there.”

In response to the question of whether the final destination of the expressway route and the land of Jeong Jeon-gun are close by, “The distance from Jeungdong-ri, the final point of the original plan to my land (Asin-ri, Okcheon-myeon) is about 1.6km, but there is no road, so there is one big mountain to get there. We have to get over it. The allegation of preferential treatment is absurd.”

He said, “The land closest to the end point of Wonan is one parcel in Asin-ri, which is about 300 pyeong (883m2 , 267 pyeong).”
